GAINESVILLE– The Collier Companies will be sponsoring the UF Warrington School of Business Kelley A. Bergstrom Real Estate Center Real Estate Strategies and Trends Conference on Feb. 23 and 24, 2023 at the Waldorf Astoria Clubhouse in Orlando, Florida, as well as underwriting its sister event, The Nathan S. Collier MSRE ReConnect Alumni Event, Feb. 22, 2023, at the same venue. While the Strategies and Trends Conference gathers industry professionals to discuss the future of real estate in presentation-based seminars, the ReConnect event is a networking opportunity for current Bergstrom Real Estate Center advisory board members and alumni of the Nathan S. Collier Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) Program at UF.

“The [MSRE] program and [Bergstrom Real Estate] Center provide an invaluable resource for donors, alumni, students, and industry professionals to network and grow through our events and networking opportunities. However, these opportunities require financial support to offer, plan and execute successfully. We are grateful for the Trends Conference and ReConnect sponsorship from supporters like Nathan S. Collier and The Collier Companies,” reported Tim Becker, Director of the Bergstrom Real Estate Center.

The Real Estate Strategies and Trends Conference is the leading real estate research conference in the state of Florida and has completely sold out for the last several years. Its popularity can be credited to the incredibly valuable presenters, each representing multiple industry sectors and facilitating forward-thinking discussions on trends in commercial real estate. “Our attendees, in post-event surveys and feedback, tell us that the caliber of the people in the room draws them to the conference year after year. They look forward to connecting with attendees and talking deals. It is also a great opportunity for our Nathan S. Collier Master of Science in Real Estate alumni to reconnect with each other, chat with advisory board members they haven’t seen in a while, and meet the new class of students, who are also in attendance. The speakers and content are also highly regarded, as the Center uses its vast network to get great presenters,” stated Nikki Wagner, Assistant Director of the Bergstrom Real Estate Center.

Founder of The Collier Companies and owner of 12,000 apartment homes, Nathan S. Collier looks to facilitate events that encourage lifelong learning and in particular enjoys supporting the work of his good friend Kelley A. Bergstrom, namesake of the Kelley A. Bergstrom Real Estate Center. Both the Trends Conference and the ReConnect event have been sponsored by The Collier Companies for multiple years reflecting Collier’s long-term commitment to the UF and its alumni. The conference allows attendees to take away firsthand, real-world knowledge about the current trends in real estate that impact us all.

The Nathan S. Collier MSRE ReConnect Alumni Event is an opportunity for graduates of the program to come together and renew old relationships and create new ones while exchanging information and gaining new insights. Real estate is a relatively small industry and relationships are key to getting things done. While other events are board member-centered or student-centered, this one is alumni-centered and serves as a vital platform for doing business.

“Through MSRE, Nathan touches many of these students’ lives. He became a mentor to many as he taught case studies, and many continue to follow him via his blog on personal and professional leadership at NSCBlog.com.” reported Angela Tharpe, Chief of Staff at The Collier Companies.
