GAINESVILLE —On Friday, October 14, The Collier Companies served as an Ace Sponsor of the Real Men Wear Pink Golf Tournament at Hawkstone Country Club benefiting the American Cancer Society.
Honored to make this contribution, The Collier Companies donated $5,000 for breast cancer research to create a positive impact on the local community and support local friends and family who are fighting this terrible disease.
“Being part of this event and hearing the stories of people that have been directly impacted by breast cancer touched my life. Being part of an organization that supports and fundraises for this research is beyond incredible,” said Crystal Miner, Culture Performance Leader.
“The entire event was well organized and gave a chance to support a cause that hits home for way too many. Aside from that, it allowed us to connect with coworkers away from the office– to build more personal relationships,” reported Robert Horne, player in the tournament and Senior Construction Manager at The Collier Companies.
Chief of Staff, Angela Tharpe, served as a guest speaker proudly representing the organization and shared that upon notice of the opportunity, Founder Nathan S. Collier immediately offered the company’s support to the event without hesitation.
Debi Hall, Assistant Controller, reported, “A great day for golf! Angela’s opening comments were spot-on and perfect, and Crystal’s table was fire! Thank you to all who made this happen – proud to be a part of Team TCC!”
