Industry Recognition & Team Excellence

In 2025, Stafford at Artisan Lakes has been named the Silver Award Winner in the 2025 Best American Living Awards (BALA), presented by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), earning national recognition for excellence in multifamily design. The Collier Companies also celebrated outstanding team member achievements at the North Central Florida Apartment Association (NCFAA) ACE Awards, earning top honors including Leasing Professional of the Year and Assistant Manager of the Year. These recognitions highlight the company’s deep commitment to cultivating talent, excellence, and a people-first culture.

Growth, Development & Strategic Expansion

In 2020, Nathan S. Collier and the executive team embarked upon a vision to expand its then existing multifamily portfolio by twice its size over the upcoming decade. The company advanced its 2X growth strategy with significant development and investment milestones throughout Florida and the Southeast, including site acquisitions in North and South Carolina. The Collier Companies celebrated the addition of 4 new communities consisting of 1300 homes with the completion of Cordova in New Smyrna Beach, Stafford at Artisan Lakes in Palmetto and the preleasing launch of Alon in Sarasota and Verve in Wesley Chapel – further expanding its portfolio of best-in-class communities.  In continuance of its growth journey, The Collier Companies successfully met 100% of its lending objectives in 2025. This set in motion, an expected impressive three-quarters of one billion dollars of loan volume for 2026.

Philanthropy & Community Impact

In 2025, The Collier Companies expanded its philanthropic footprint with landmark contributions to journalism, education, public service and community well-being. The company proudly celebrated the Associated Press for its series ‘Prison to Plate: Profiting off America’s Captive Workforce, the winner of the Collier Prize for State Government Accountability – one of the nation’s most prestigious journalism awards. Presented in conjunction with the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communication, the prize honors investigative reporting that drives transparency, public awareness, and positive change.

This year also marked the inaugural Peter F. Collier Awards for Ethics in Journalism, administered bythe Ethics and Journalism Initiative at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University – further extending the company’s commitment to elevating excellence in journalism, civic engagement and academic achievement. The Washington Post, Mississippi Today and University of Florida senior Garrett Shanley took home the top prizes. The Baltimore Banner, Documented, The New Yorker, and NBC News were among the other awardees.

Community impact remained central to the company’s mission. The company deepened its long-standing support of the University of Florida, with a transformative $1 million contribution to the College of Medicine to go toward a groundbreaking cancer vaccine, currently being developed under Dr. Elias Seymour’s research team . The company also donated 17 acres of land to the City of Gainesville to establish the Courtland Alden Collier Preserve, reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship and legacy.
